Sikkim's most popular short trek to Dzongri Ridge in the Kanchenjunga National Park. Trek through virgin Himalayan forests and experience the native culture of Sikkim. Climb Dzongri Top at sunrise to enjoy spectacular close up views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and the its many snow capped peaks.

Itinerary

Day 01: Pick-up at Bagdogra or Bhadrapur, drive 5 hours to Gangtok (1,547).Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Gangtok full day sightseeng – Visit Rumtek Monastery, the Institute of Tibetology, Do-Drul Chorte and Enchey Monastery. Evening free to explore town. O/N hotel.

Day 03: Drive to Yuksum (1780m) via Temi Tea Estate. 5-6 hrs drive. O/N at
Camp.

Day 04: Trek to Tshoka (3005m). 16 Km, 6-7 hrs walk. O/N Camp.

Day 05: Trek to Dzongri (4030m). 9 Km, 4-5 hrs walk. O/N Camp.

Day 06: Rest day at Dzongri. Early morning hike to Dzongri View Point for Sunrise over Mt. Kanchanjunga and other surrounding peaks. After breakfast explore around Dzongri-la. O/N Camp.

Day 07: Trek to Thangsing (3930m). 7 Km, 3-4 hrs walk. O/N Camp.

Day 08: Trek to Samiti Lake (4250m). 3-4 hrs walk. O/N Camp

Day 09: Early morning excursion to Goechela (4,950m) return to Thangsing / Koktshrung. 6-7hrs walk. O/N Camp.

Day 10: Trek back to Tshoka. O/N Camp.

Day 11: Trek back to Yuksom. O/N Hotel/Camp.

Day 12: Drive to Pelling ( 2070m) via Kacheopalri Lake (wish fulfilling lake). Evening visit Pemayangtse Monastery. 3-4 hrs. O/N at Hotel.

Day 13: Pelling- Visit Rabdentse Palace ruins. Drive to Kalimpong (1375m). 4 hrs drive. O/N Hotel

Day 14: Kalimpong- Visit flower nurseries and Durpin Monastery. Evening free to explore town. O/N at Hotel.

Day 15: Early Morning drive to Bagdogra/Bhadrapur. Fly to destination.
